Engineering books and Subject LibrariansThe Engineering Library collections have been transferred to the General Library. Most of the areas they previously occupied are being repurposed as study and skill-based activity spaces.

Where are the librarians now?
The Science and Engineering Subject Librarians relocated to level M of the General Library, at the Symonds St end. Our services to both faculties continue unchanged. If you have any research issues, please contact us, or consult the engineering subject guides.

Where are the books?

A large portion of the engineering book collection is now on Level M of the General Library, facing Alfred St.

Check them out

You will find a wealth of topics in the engineering print collection including automotive engineering/design, general mechanical engineering, aviation, space exploration technology, bio- and medical technology, and civil/electrical/computing/materials engineering. However most engineering resources (especially journals) are available online and are best accessed via the catalogue and/or engineering databases listed in relevant subject guides.

Where are the standards?

Most standards are now online. Older print standards are at Off-Campus Storage and can be requested via Intercampus delivery.
