Welcome to the new-look Catalogue

We are delighted to introduce the new-look Catalogue. Can you find what you are looking for? We welcome your feedback.

You can still use features you are used to from the previous version of the Catalogue, e.g., refining your results, saving records and searches and exporting to reference management tools.

New features include:

  • A more modern design that works on desktops, tablets and phones.
  • As you start typing you are prompted to select from one of three search scopes:
    • Books+, the default, includes items in our Library: print and e-books, journals, images, streaming audio and video, maps, manuscripts and archives, music scores and exam papers.
    • Articles and more includes items from a vast number of journal publishers and databases.
    • Combined includes both options.

  • A browse function that enables you to scan indexes of authors, titles, subjects and call numbers.
  • In-context prompts to sign in for complete functionality, e.g., to access to My Library Account.
  • The ability to pin records to My Favourites, see your search history and save searches.
  • Article citation trails and, when you are signed in, links into Web of Science and Scopus. These will appear in records in Articles and more. Related readings are also found here.

Saved searches and saved records

  • If you have saved items into folders in Library Search, these are now in your Saved Records within My Favourites. They are in an Unlabelled list. You can add labels to organise your saved records.
  • If you have saved searches in Library Search, these will remain in Library Search until early next year. When saved searches are moved across into the new Catalogue, Library Search will be retired.
