If you’re working on an assignment and need guidance on finding resources, writing or referencing, drop in to the General Library for help from our team.

Whether you’re starting out on your assignment and struggling to find information, or nearing the end and having difficulty with referencing, we’ve got online resources to help you.

Searching for information

  • Start with your course reading list. You will find key material your lecturers expect you to read, understand and draw on for your assignments.
  • To find relevant books and academic articles on your topic, use the Catalogue.
  • Extend your search further by discovering key databases and journals related to your topic in our subject guides.

Reading and writing

  • For help with writing essays, case studies, lab reports, posters and presentations, visit the Writing and presenting page.
  • To learn what’s expected of your writing at the University level and what you need to become a more skilled writer, check out write@uni.
  • If you think your English is holding you back from developing your reading and writing skills further, enrol online for one of English Language Enrichment’s language advice drop-in sessions or language learning workshops.

    Hi there, I was wondering do you guys do free WiFi to those students who are not part of you Uni but wants to study at your library???

      Thanks for your question. WiFi is only available to current students and staff of the University, and to guests who have been granted access by University staff via the Sponsor Portal. For further information, please see the Internet and wireless page of our website.
