RefWorks has issued an upgrade to the Write-N-Cite plugin for Word that takes effect from 31 October 2021. (Please note, this is an extension on the original 1 October 2021 date issued by RefWorks.)

If you use RefWorks and Write-N-Cite for these versions of Word you will be impacted:

• Microsoft Word 2016, 2013, 2010
• Microsoft Word for Mac 2011, 2008

What do I need to do?

Please install the latest version of Write-N-Cite before 31 October 2021.
From 31 October 2021 the older versions of Write-N-Cite plugin will no longer work.

How do I install the latest Write-N-Cite?

In Word, when you click on Write-N-Cite, you will be prompted to upgrade.
You may also receive an in-app message in RefWorks. Follow the instructions provided.
