International Open Access Week, Monday 24 October to Sunday 30 October 2022, promotes open access to scholarly research and this year’s theme is ‘Open for Climate Justice’.
Open access means research outputs are freely available on the internet for anyone to view and can include books, journal articles, conference proceedings, artwork, data, and images.
Connect and collaborate
To celebrate Open Access Week 2022 the Australasian Open Access Strategy Group (AOASG) are running a series of free online events aligned with ‘Open for Climate Justice’. These cover the experiences of Australian and New Zealand researchers and research support staff.
Support for publishing open access
The University of Auckland has several Open Access Read and Publish Agreements in place for 2022.
These allow researchers to publish articles open access in selected journals and the cost of the article processing charge (APC) is covered by the University.
If you are a research student or staff member at the University of Auckland you have access to these agreements.
