Our Mātauranga Māori and Pacific collections are on the move!

What’s happening?

From 24 July 2023, the General Library’s Mātauranga Māori and Pacific collections are temporarily moving off Level M.

The Pacific collection is moving to Level 3 and the Mātauranga Māori collection is moving to Level 4. The Pacific collection will be moving first.

These collections will stay on Levels 3 and 4 for the rest of Semester Two 2023.

How long will it take?

Moving the collections will take around eight weeks to complete.

Will I still be able to access the books I need?

Yes!

You will be able to access books from these collections throughout the move. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, check both its old and new locations or ask at the Help Desk.

I usually study on Levels 3 and 4. Where can I study?

Levels 3 and 4 will be noisy while we are moving the collections and there will be reduced study space on these floors for the whole of Semester Two 2023. There is currently lots of study space available on Levels 1 and M.

Why are the collections moving?

This temporary move is to allow for the planned refurbishment of student spaces on Levels 1 and M later in Semester Two 2023. Watch this space!
